GB/T 386-2021 Standard test method for cetane number of diesel fuel oil
Abstract
This document describes the test method for determining the cetane number of diesel fuel using a cetane number tester. The sample is tested under specific operating conditions by a standard single-cylinder, four-stroke, variable compression ratio, intermittent injection diesel engine. This document is applicable to the quantitative determination of the cetane number of compression-ignition engine fuels. The cetane number range is 0~100, but the typical test range is 30~65. This document is also applicable to the quantitative determination of the cetane number of unconventional fuels, such as synthetic fuels, vegetable oils, and similar products. Note: This document uses the SI International System of Units, with the British units in parentheses for reference.
