本文件描述了用十六烷值试验机测定柴油十六烷值的试验方法。样品在特定操作条件下，由一个标准的单缸、四冲程、可变压缩比、间歇喷射柴油发动机进行测试。本文件适用于压燃式发动机燃料十六烷值的定量测定。十六烷值的范围为0~100，但典型的测试范围为30~65。本文件也适用于非常规燃料，如合成燃料、植物油及类似产品十六烷值的定量测定。注：本文件采用［SI］国际单位制，括号内英制单位作为参考。
