Abstract
1.1 This part specifies a test method for determining the wear resistance and wear coefficient of anodized aluminum and aluminum alloy films using a wheel-type wear tester. 1.2 This part is applicable to the inspection of plate-like aluminum samples with an anodized film thickness of not less than 5 μm. The wear resistance and wear coefficient of the entire layer thickness of the anodized film, the surface layer, or any selected layer of the anodized film can be determined using this method. 1.3 This part is not applicable to the determination of anodized samples with uneven surfaces. 1.4 The determination of the wear resistance of organic polymer films can refer to this part.
