GB/T 8464-2023 Cast iron,copper and stainless steel valves with screwed connections
Abstract
This document specifies the structural types, materials, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of gate valves, shut-off valves, ball valves, and check valves made of iron, copper, and stainless steel with threaded connections.
This document applies to:
Gray cast iron valves with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN16 and a nominal size not exceeding DN100.
Malleable cast iron valves and nodular cast iron valves with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN25 and a nominal size not exceeding DN100.
Copper alloy valves and stainless steel valves with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN40 and a nominal size not exceeding DN100.
Working temperatures not exceeding 180 °C, and working media such as water, non-corrosive liquids, air, and saturated steam.
Note 1: In this document, valves refer to gate valves, shut-off valves, ball valves, or check valves with threaded connections.
Note 2: The working media of valves with a nominal size greater than or equal to DN50 do not include air and saturated steam.
