This document describes a method of measuring and calculating the total input power of control devices and light fixtures when used with corresponding fluorescent lamps, and also describes a method of calculating the efficiency of light source control devices. This document applies to control device-light fixture circuits consisting solely of control devices and lamps, operating under direct current power sources of 1,000 V or less and/or alternating current power sources of 1,000 V or less at 50 Hz. Note: It does not include requirements for testing individual control devices during production. This document specifies a method of measuring the total input power of control devices when used with the following fluorescent lamps for household and general commercial purposes, and a method of calculating the efficiency of control devices: - Double-ended fluorescent lamps (IEC 60081); - Single-ended fluorescent lamps (IEC 60901); - Other low-pressure mercury fluorescent lamps for general use. This document does not apply to: - Control devices for integrated lamps; - Controllable electromagnetic control devices.
