GB/T 11026.8-2025 Electrical insulating materials—Thermal endurance properties—Part 8:Determination of thermal endurance indices(TI and RTI) of an insulating material using the fixed time frame method
Abstract
This document describes the experimental and calculation procedures for deriving the heat resistance, temperature index (TI), and relative temperature index (RTI) of insulating materials using the fixed time frame method (FTFM). According to FTMF, the aging process occurs during a limited number of fixed time periods, each using an appropriate aging temperature point. At the end of each corresponding time period, the performance of the samples is measured. This method differs from the procedures in GB/T 11026.1, where the aging process is completed at a limited number of fixed temperatures, and the performance measurement is conducted after the aging period. The diagnostic tests used in the fixed time frame method are only applicable to destructive tests, not to non-destructive or verification tests. According to FTMF, the TI and RTI obtained from the experimental data in this document comply with GB/T 11026.1 and GB/T 11026.2, with appropriate modifications. The calculation procedures and statistical tests are adapted from the corresponding procedures in GB/T 11026.3 and GB/T 11026.7.
