GB/T 18115.6-2023 Chemical analysis methods of rare earth impurities in rare earth metals and their oxides—Part 6:Determination of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium and yttrium contents in europium metal and oxide
Abstract
This document describes the method for determining the amounts of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium in europium.
This document is applicable to the determination of the amounts of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium in europium metal.
This document is also applicable to the determination of the amounts of lanthanum oxide, cerium oxide, praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, samarium oxide, gadolinium oxide, terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide, holmium oxide, erbium oxide, thulium oxide, ytterbium oxide, and lutetium oxide in europium oxide.
This document includes three methods: inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICPOES, Method 1), with the determination range shown in Table 1; inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICPMS, Method 2); and inductively coupled plasma tandem mass spectrometry (ICPMSMS, Method 3), with the determination range shown in Table 2.
When the analysis ranges of the three methods overlap, Method 2 is recommended as the arbitration method.
