Abstract
This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the test method for quantitatively mechanically stripping the protective coating along the longitudinal axis of the optical fiber, and establishes unified test procedures and technical requirements for measurement.
This part is applicable to the peelability measurement of the coating of Class A1, Class A2, Class A3, Class B, Class C, and Class D optical fibers with a nominal cladding diameter of 125 μm and a nominal outer coating (including the tightly wrapped buffer layer) diameter of 200 to 900 μm. The peelability of optical fibers with other nominal cladding diameters can be measured by referring to this part.
