Abstract
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of fully enclosed electric motors-compressors for household and similar use in heat pump water heaters.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, inspection, packaging, transportation, and storage of fully enclosed electric motors-compressors (hereinafter referred to as "compressors", including rotary compressors and scroll compressors) for household and similar use in heat pump water heaters, where the refrigerant is R410A, R134a, R417A, R407C, R22, R32, or R290.
Personnel involved in the design, manufacture, inspection, packaging, transportation, and storage of similar compressors with refrigerants of other types (except R744) may refer to this document for guidance.
