GB/T 3658-2022 Methods of measurement of the magnetic properties of magnetically soft metallic and powder materials at frequencies in the range 20 Hz to 100 kHz by the use of ring specimens
Abstract
This document specifies the test methods for the AC magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials other than ferrites in the frequency range of 20 Hz to 100 kHz. The materials covered by this document include electrical steel, castings, and soft magnetic composites, as well as special alloys listed in GB/T 21220 and elements of pressed, sintered, and metal injection molding listed in GB/T 24296.
This document aims to clarify the general principles and technical details of testing the magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials using ring specimens. For powdered materials, ring specimens are made by appropriate extrusion methods.
The ring specimen measurement method for the DC magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials is specified in GB/T 13012; the magnetic characteristics of soft magnetic elements are measured in GB/T 28869.1.
The testing is usually conducted at an ambient temperature of (23±5)℃, and the ring specimens are first demagnetized before testing. Upon mutual agreement between the supplier and the buyer, the testing can also be conducted in other temperature ranges.
