GB/T 21209-2017

This standard describes the performance characteristics of AC motors powered by frequency converters and clarifies the design features of frequency-dedicated motors. The standard also specifies the interface parameters and interactions between motors and frequency converters as part of power drive systems, including installation guidelines, but excludes the voltage at the power supply interface, which is described in IEC TS 618008. The general requirements of other relevant parts of the IEC 60034 series standards also apply to motors within the scope of this standard. For motors operating in potentially explosive gas environments, the IEC 60079 series or IEC 61241 series have additional requirements for dust explosion prevention. Safety is not the main focus of this standard, but some of its recommendations involve safety issues that must be considered. If the frequency converter manufacturer provides specific installation recommendations, it is advisable to prioritize their recommendations before referring to this standard.
