Scope

This part of GB/T 3222 specifies methods for determining sound pressure levels by direct measurement, extrapolating measurement results through calculation, or entirely by calculation, as a basis for evaluating environmental noise. This part recommends some better measurement or calculation conditions that have not yet been adopted by other standards. This part of GB/T 3222 can be used for measurements at any frequency weighting or in any frequency band, and provides guidelines for estimating the uncertainty of noise evaluation results.
Note 1: Given that this part of GB/T 3222 involves measurements under actual working conditions, this part has no relationship with other ISO standards that specify noise emission measurements under specified working conditions.
Note 2: For general purposes, this part of GB/T 3222 omits the subscripts for frequency weighting and time weighting.
