Scope

This part of GB/T 24338 specifies the limits and measurement methods for external emissions (referred to as "system emissions") of the entire rail system, including urban rail transit systems.
This part applies to the entire rail system, but excludes underground rail systems that extend deep into the ground and whose emissions do not affect the ground.
Note: For underground rail systems whose emissions do not affect the ground, there is no need to measure the external emissions of the rail system.
The specific provisions of this part are used in conjunction with the general provisions of GB/T 24338.1.
