GB/T 4214系列标准的通用要求适用于由电网供电或电池供电的家用和类似用途电器，包括它们的附件和部件。
如在GB/T 4214系列标准的特殊要求中未特别说明，类似用途可理解为在与家庭环境类似的条件下使用，如在小旅馆、咖啡厅、茶室、酒店、理发店、洗衣店等。
本部分不适用于：
——专为工业或专业目的而设计的器具、设备或机器；
——作为建筑物或安装在建筑物上的设施的整体结构的一部分的器具，如加热或通风装置(家用风扇、灶具和可移动式立式加热器具除外)、集中供热的燃油锅炉、用于给排水系统的水泵等；
注：GB/T 7725涵盖的家用和类似用途空气调节器产品属于本部分范围。
——单独的电动机或发电机；
——用于户外的器具。
本文件适用于打算靠墙放置在地板上,打算嵌入或放置于柜台、厨房操作台面或水槽下,或打算墙壁安装或安装在柜台上的家用和类似用途单体电动洗干一体机。
