Scope

This standard specifies the antibody detection methods such as the serum neutralization test for pseudorabies, the latex agglutination test, the PrV-ELISA (PrV-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), the pig pseudorabies gB-ELISA (blocking method) and gE-ELISA (blocking method), as well as the pathogen detection methods such as virus isolation and identification, polymerase chain reaction, and rabbit inoculation tests.
This standard is applicable to the diagnosis, quarantine, immune antibody evaluation, and epidemiological investigation of pseudorabies in pigs, cattle, sheep, dogs, cats, and other susceptible animals.
