Basic Information
Scope
This section specifies the Chinese names and English translations of commonly used Chinese restaurant dishes. It includes: Chinese dish names, English dish names, the main food processing materials and auxiliary seasonings in the dishes, spices, and quantity guidance.
This section is applicable to the Chinese restaurant menus of food service enterprises that need to be labeled in English.
This section is applicable to the following regions: areas in China with a large number of foreigners and tourist destinations.
It is not applicable to catering enterprises that contain living customs, use protected animals (plants) as raw materials, and focus on private kitchens; nor is it applicable to the secret specialties and extended name dishes of catering enterprises.
