Scope

This document specifies the composition, usage conditions, pre-installation research, performance requirements, and inspection rules of the storage system for DC traction power supply in rail transit (hereinafter referred to as the energy storage system), and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to ground energy storage systems for DC traction power supply using batteries, supercapacitors, flywheels, and other energy storage media.
Note: The energy storage system can be applied to the utilization of regenerative energy in trains, which can save energy, reduce the wear and tear of vehicle brake pads/brakes, and reduce the heat generated during braking; it can also achieve power compensation, such as compensating for line voltage, reducing peak power, and reducing the rated capacity of rectifiers.
