Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the manufacture, inspection, and acceptance of Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 austenitic stainless steel plates used in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This document applies to Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 austenitic stainless steel plates with a thickness of no more than 120 mm used in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This document does not apply to nitrogen-controlled austenitic stainless steel plates used in reactor internals.
