Scope
This standard applies to emergency monitoring of sudden environmental incidents caused by the production, operation, storage, transportation, use, and disposal of hazardous chemicals or hazardous waste, as well as accidental factors or irresistible natural disasters, including emergency monitoring of surface water, groundwater, atmospheric, and soil environments. This standard does not apply to emergency monitoring of nuclear pollution incidents, marine pollution incidents, pollution incidents involving military facilities, or biological and microbial pollution incidents.
