Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements and test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of general lithium-based greases.
1.2 This standard applies to greases made by saponifying mineral lubricating oil with lithium fatty acid and adding antioxidant and anti-rust additives.
1.3 Products that comply with this standard are suitable for lubricating rolling bearings, sliding bearings, and other friction parts of various mechanical equipment operating within a temperature range of -20 °C to 120 °C.
