Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, usage conditions, rated values, design requirements, test conditions, test classifications, routine tests, type tests, special tests, and markings for single-phase coupling capacitors used in power line carrier (PLC) systems connected between lines and ground.
This document applies to capacitors that comply with Chapter 1 of GB/T 19749.1—2016, with the following supplements:
This document applies to single-phase coupling capacitors with a rated voltage of more than 1,000 V, connected between lines and ground, and used with power line carrier (PLC) equipment operating at frequencies of 30 kHz to 500 kHz, or with similar equipment (DC or AC) operating at a frequency of 15 Hz to 60 Hz.
The transmission requirements for coupling devices used in power line carrier (PLC) systems are specified in GB/T 7329.
When the low-voltage terminals of the coupling capacitors are not connected to other devices, they shall be permanently grounded.
