Scope

This part of GB/T 19749 specifies the terms and definitions of coupling capacitors and capacitor dividers, their usage conditions, rated values, design requirements, test conditions, test classifications, routine tests, type tests, special tests, and equipment markings. This part applies to capacitors with a rated voltage of more than 1,000 V, connected between a line and ground, with the low-voltage terminal permanently grounded or connected to equipment, and used for the following applications and other similar purposes. This part is the basic standard for coupling capacitors, and additional provisions and tests are provided in other parts of this standard, such as GB/T 19749.2, GB/T 19749.3, and GB/T 19749.4. Note: A typical example diagram of the coupling capacitors applicable to this part is shown in Figure A.1.
