GB/T 13248-2008 Rubber and rubber latices—Determination of manganese content—Sodium periodate photometric methodes
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies two methods for determining the manganese content in vulcanized rubber, raw rubber, compounded rubber, and latex using the sodium iodate photometry method. The two methods also include the analysis and determination of chlorinated rubber. Chapter 3 of this standard stipulates that it is not affected by the large amount of fillers contained, which may be synthetic or natural silicates, or calcium carbonate in different forms, or synthetic additives used under test conditions that generate hard-to-dissolve phosphates. Chapter 4 of this standard stipulates the determination of the manganese content in raw rubber, synthetic natural rubber, isoprene rubber, and latex containing a small amount of fillers (not more than 10%): inert silicate fillers or any kind of additives, such as titanium dioxide, which will form a hard-to-dissolve phosphate additive under experimental conditions.
