Scope

This document provides a method for estimating the long-term (greater than 11 years of solar activity cycle) solar proton flux on the geostationary orbit (GEO) and guidance on selecting the confidence level of the solar proton flux model.
This document is applicable to the estimation of the performance degradation of solar cells. The performance degradation estimation of photoelectric devices such as charge-coupled devices (CCDs) and image sensors (APSs) can also be referenced for use.
