GB/T 13773.1-2008 Textiles—Seam tensile properties of fabrics and made-up textile articles—Part 1:Determination of maximum force to seam rupture using the strip method
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 13773 specifies the method of applying a vertical force to the seams of a garment using the strip method, and determining the maximum force that the seams can withstand. This part is applicable to woven fabrics and their products, as well as fabrics produced by other technologies. It is not applicable to elastic woven fabrics, geosynthetic materials, non-woven fabrics, coated fabrics, glass fiber fabrics, and fabrics produced from carbon fiber and polyolefin flat filament yarns. Seam fabrics can be obtained from sewn products or prepared from fabric samples, according to product requirements or with the consent of all parties involved. This method is only applicable to straight seams, and is not applicable to seams with significant curvature. This method specifies the use of a constant rate of elongation (CRE) tester.
