Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, supply methods, packaging, and labeling of tungsten-rhenium thermocouple wires (hereinafter referred to as thermocouple wires).
This standard applies to the manufacture of tungsten-rhenium 3—tungsten-rhenium 25 thermocouple wires, tungsten-rhenium 5—tungsten-rhenium 26 thermocouple wires, and tungsten-rhenium 5—tungsten-rhenium 20 thermocouple wires (hereinafter referred to as D-type thermocouple wires, C-type thermocouple wires, and A-type thermocouple wires, respectively).
