Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the ISO sensitivity of color negative camera film used for still photography. The color negatives obtained from these films are mainly used for making reflective color photos, and can also be used to produce color transparencies. The sensitivity obtained by applying this standard can be used in actual photography for exposure meters, exposure calculators, and exposure comparison tables. This standard is not applicable to film photography, aerial photography, or color negative films used for making intermediate negatives.
