Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the general requirements for the design and manufacture of rotary hot air ovens with one or more rotary trays, including a description of the related hazards, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and usage information.
This document applies to rotary hot air ovens (hereinafter referred to as ovens) used for batch baking of food products (including flour, water, and other additives) in food stores (bakeries, pastry shops), canteens of industrial and mining enterprises, or food factories.
This document does not apply to:
——Experimental and testing equipment used by manufacturers during development;
——Household appliances;
——Rotary hot air ovens without trays.
This document does not address the hazards of gas fuel used in gas appliances, nor the hazards of oil fuel used in oil appliances. Machines using gas or oil as heat sources may be subject to separate regulations by manufacturers in their enterprise standards.
