Scope

This standard specifies the reagents and solutions, sample preparation, and detection methods for the qualitative detection of prohibited and restricted substances in fireworks and firecrackers.
This standard is applicable to the qualitative detection of chlorate salts, lead compounds, arsenic compounds, mercury compounds, phosphorus, magnesium powder (except for aluminum-magnesium alloy powder and modified magnesium powder), gallic acid, hexachlorobenzene, picric acid, and zirconium powder in fireworks and firecrackers. Other single or mixed materials in pyrotechnic compositions can be used for reference.
