Scope

This document describes the methods for determining the moisture content in grains and oilseeds.
In the isothermal and timed drying method, the single-drying method is suitable for determining the moisture content of grains with a moisture content not exceeding 18.0% and oilseeds with a moisture content not exceeding 13.0%. The two-drying method is suitable for determining the moisture content of grains with a moisture content greater than 18.0% and oilseeds with a moisture content greater than 13.0%. The water immersion suspension method is suitable for determining the moisture content of grains, especially for determining the moisture content of grains with high moisture content and in a frozen state.
