Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements and test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of extreme-pressure lithium-based grease made by thickening lubricating oil with lithium soap of fatty acids and adding antioxidant and extreme-pressure additives.
This standard is applicable to grease used for high-load mechanical equipment bearings and gears operating at temperatures ranging from -20 ℃ to 120 ℃, and can also be used for grease in centralized lubrication systems.
