Scope

This standard specifies the tests for evaluating the wear resistance, scratch resistance, and impact resistance of watch cases and their accessories (including watch straps) during wear. This standard applies to complete watches equipped with watch straps. However, some tests are only applicable to watch cases, complete or partial watch straps, or specially designed samples. Note: In order to simulate the degradation of watches after wear, both parties may, through consultation, combine all the tests described in this standard.
