Scope
This document describes a method for characterizing samples containing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) in an inert or oxidative environment.
This document is suitable for measuring the type of carbon species and non-carbon impurities (such as metal catalyst particles) in materials, quantitatively assessing the purity of CNT samples, and qualitatively evaluating the thermal stability and uniformity of CNT-containing samples. This document is not suitable for confirming the type of CNTs or the composition of metal impurities.
