Scope
This standard specifies the method for characterizing samples containing single-walled carbon nanotubes using TGA under an air atmosphere. This standard is applicable to evaluating the purity of single-walled carbon nanotube samples by quantitatively testing the content of non-carbon impurities (such as metal catalysts) in the materials, and to assessing the thermal stability and uniformity of samples containing single-walled carbon nanotubes. This standard is not applicable to confirming the presence of single-walled carbon nanotubes or verifying the composition of metal impurities.
