Scope

GB/T 9937 specifies dental terminology.
This part is about basic and clinical dental terminology.
Dental materials, dental instruments, and dental equipment terminology, as well as the terminology related to these products, are included in the other four parts of GB/T 9937.
The purpose of this part is to provide definitions of some commonly accepted dental terms for the development and implementation of standards, so as to facilitate the understanding of documents. At the same time, through close cooperation with the International Dental Federation, the World Health Organization, and relevant national or international organizations, it promotes mutual communication.
