GB/T 45284.6-2025 Information technology—Extensible biometric data interchange formats—Part 6:Iris image data
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies:
—— A universal and extensible data exchange format for iris image data: one based on the extensible specification of ASN.1 for tagged binary data, and the other based on XML schema definition for text data, both capable of storing the same information;
—— Examples of the content of iris image data records;
—— Minimum requirements, recommended methods, and best practices for specific applications in data acquisition;
—— Compliance test assertions and test procedures applicable to this document.
The iris image information is stored in the following forms:
—— A grayscale value array compressed according to ISO/IEC 15948 or ISO/IEC 15444-1;
—— A grayscale value array compressed according to ISO/IEC 15948 or ISO/IEC 15444-1, cropped with the iris as the center and an area of interest masked for non-iris regions.
This document also specifies the elements of compliance test methods, test assertions, and test procedures. It includes:
—— Test assertions related to the structure of iris image data formats, as described in Chapters 6 to 9;
—— Test assertions related to internal compliance by checking the types of values that may be contained in each field;
—— Semantic test assertions.
The compliance test methods specified in this document do not include:
—— Testing of other features of biometric identification products or other types of biometric identification products (such as usability, performance, robustness, and security);
—— Compliance testing of systems that do not generate data records required by this document.
This document does not include:
—— Requirements for camera optical specifications;
—— Requirements for the luminance characteristics of iris images;
—— Requirements for registration procedures, workflows, and the use of iris devices.
