Scope

This document describes the method for determining the alkalinity of concentrated natural latex.
This document is applicable to concentrated natural latex derived from Brazilian Hevea brasiliensis.
This document may not be applicable to natural latex derived from sources other than Brazilian Hevea brasiliensis, nor to synthetic latex, compounded latex, vulcanized latex, and emulsified latex.
Note: ISO 13773 describes the method for determining the alkalinity of chloroprene latex.
