Scope
This standard specifies the methods, items, and requirements for testing medical X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanners for the purpose of quality assurance.
This standard applies to acceptance testing of CT machines, in-service condition testing of CT machines, and stability testing of CT machines. This standard does not apply to quality control during the production of CT machines or to the image display systems and hard copy systems used with CT machines.
