Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural forms, product models, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of flanged lined centerline butterfly valves.
This standard applies to flanged lined centerline butterfly valves with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN25 and a nominal size of DN50 to DN4000, made of nodular cast iron shells. The medium is non-corrosive liquids and gases, as well as mildly corrosive sewage, seawater, and brine. When the medium is a liquid, the operating temperature is 0 to 80 °C.
