GB/T 34961.2-2017 Information technology—Implementation and operation of customer premises cabling—Part 2:Planning and installation
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 34961 specifies the requirements for cable laying, cable infrastructure (including cable laying, path, space, grounding, and connection), planning, installation, and operation to support general cable laying standards and related documents.
It mainly stipulates the following aspects:
—— Installation specifications;
—— Quality assurance;
—— Installation planning;
—— Installation implementation;
—— Documentation;
—— Management;
—— Testing;
—— Inspection;
—— Operation;
—— Maintenance;
—— Repair.
The requirements of Chapters 5 to 14 of this part are not related to building types. The requirements for specific building types are specified in the appendix.
This part does not include:
—— Specific requirements applicable to other cable systems (such as power cable systems); however, it considers the impact of other cable systems on the installation of information technology cables (and vice versa) and provides general recommendations;
—— Installation related to signal transmission (such as wireless, radio frequency, microwave, or satellite) between transmitters, receivers, and their associated antenna systems in open spaces.
This part applies to environments with certain hazards, but does not exclude additional requirements for special environments (such as power supply and electrified railways).
Safety (electrical safety and protection, protection against optical radiation, fire prevention, etc.) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements are specified by other relevant standards and are not within the scope of this part. However, the information provided in this part can help meet these standards and regulations.
