Scope
This specification applies to temperature display instruments that accept signals from temperature sensors such as thermocouples and resistance thermometers, or output signals from temperature transmitters, including the calibration of the temperature display section in process measurement and control systems. Secondary instruments that accept DC voltage or current process signals for display can also be calibrated according to this specification.
