Scope
This standard specifies the basic filling principles and safety technical requirements for "welded insulated gas cylinders" (also known as low-temperature insulated gas cylinders, hereinafter referred to as gas cylinders) designed and manufactured in accordance with GB 24159.
This standard applies to upright gas cylinders that are used at normal ambient temperatures (–40 °C to 60 °C), store media such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide at low temperatures, have a design temperature of not less than –196 °C, a nominal volume of 10 L to 450 L, and an operating pressure of 0.2 MPa to 3.5 MPa, and can be refilled repeatedly.
