Scope
This part of GB/T 1499 specifies the terms and definitions, brand names, order content, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations of hot-rolled round steel bars for reinforced concrete (hereinafter referred to as "steel bars"), as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This part applies to hot-rolled straight bars and coiled round steel bars for reinforced concrete. It does not apply to recycled steel bars that are rolled from finished steel products.
