Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for cadmium chloride, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and the contents of purchase orders (or contracts).
This standard applies to cadmium chloride produced by reacting cadmium oxide with hydrochloric acid, which is mainly used as an activator for cadmium telluride solar cells. It is also applicable to dyeing auxiliaries, photo-industry for the manufacture of carbon paper and photographic paper, and optical instrument industry for the manufacture of special mirrors and so on.
