Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for reduced cobalt powder, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and the content of purchase orders (or contracts). This standard applies to cobalt powders obtained by reduction from cobalt-containing materials such as cobalt oxalate, cobalt carbonate, and cobalt oxide, and is intended for use in industries such as hard alloys, diamond products, rechargeable batteries, and ceramics.
