GB/T 21837-2023 Practice for electromagnetic examination of ferromagnetic steel wire rope
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the detection methods and instrument calibration methods for detecting local damage and changes in the metal cross-sectional area of ferromagnetic steel ropes using the principles of magnetic flux and leakage magnetic field.
This document is applicable to the detection of various ferromagnetic steel ropes. The electromagnetic non-destructive testing of ferromagnetic steel cables can also be carried out in accordance with this document.
Note: The detection methods described in this document are difficult to detect damage at the ends of steel ropes and at the junctions of ferromagnetic steel connections, and it is not easy to distinguish the degradation caused by the pure metal properties (brittleness, fatigue, etc.).
