Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, model marking, materials and structure, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage and transportation of pressure-relief type backflow preventers.
This standard applies to pressure-relief type backflow preventers (hereinafter referred to as "backflow preventers") for conveying domestic drinking water with a nominal pressure not exceeding PN16, a nominal size of DN15 to DN400, and a medium temperature not exceeding 65 °C.
