Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural forms, product models, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage and transportation of pressure-relief type backflow preventers.
This standard applies to pressure-relief type backflow preventers used for conveying clean water with a nominal pressure of less than or equal to PN16, a nominal size of DN15 to DN400, and a temperature not exceeding 65°C.
Pressure-relief type backflow preventers with a nominal size less than DN15 and a nominal size greater than DN400 can be implemented as a reference.
