Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents and consumables, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, analysis steps, result calculation, and precision for the determination of sesamol and sesamin in sesame oil by high-performance liquid chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of sesamol and sesamin in sesame fragrance oil, crude sesame oil, and finished sesame oil. The detection limits of this standard method are: 0.01 mg/g for sesamol and 0.02 mg/g for sesamin.
