Basic Information
Scope
Note 1: The terms AMHS (see 3.1.101), ACCS (see 3.1.102), AMPS (see 3.1.103), and ACSEV (see 3.1.104) used throughout this section refer to low-voltage switchgear and controlgear intended for use in docks and similar locations (AMHS), campgrounds and similar locations (ACCS), market squares and other similar outdoor public spaces (AMPS), and charging stations (ACSEV). The term "switchgear" is used to refer to all distribution cabinets.
The specific requirements for switchgear defined in this part of GB 7251 are as follows:
—— Switchgear with a rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V AC or 1,500 V DC;
—— Fixed or mobile switchgear with an enclosure;
—— Switchgear intended for use with equipment for power generation, transmission, distribution, and energy conversion, as well as equipment for controlling energy consumption;
—— Switchgear operated by general personnel;
—— Switchgear intended for installation and use in docks, campgrounds, market squares, and other similar outdoor public spaces or similar locations;
—— Switchgear intended for use in electric vehicle charging stations.
